Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking any course or assessment with Anstey James Ltd. By making a booking you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and the booking of training and assessment services provided by Anstey James Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. Please read them carefully.

2. Our Services

We provide professional driver training and assessment services including: — Driver CPC periodic training (JAUPT-approved) — PSV driving school training (DVSA-approved) — Driver assessments for individuals and fleet operators — Specialist training (wheelchair familiarisation, safeguarding, manual handling, and others) — First aid for transport staff (delivered in partnership with Lightning Training Solutions) — Training under contract for Somerset Council and other organisations Course content, dates, prices and availability are subject to change. We reserve the right to modify or cancel courses at any time.

3. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once you have received written confirmation from us (by email or letter). Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and are only guaranteed upon receipt of payment or a confirmed purchase order. You are responsible for ensuring that delegates meet any prerequisites for the course booked. We reserve the right to refuse admission if prerequisites are not met, and no refund will be issued in such circumstances. It is the booker's responsibility to ensure all delegate details provided are accurate. Incorrect delegate information may affect the validity of any certificate or qualification issued.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be applied at the current prevailing rate where applicable. Payment is due prior to the course date unless a credit account or purchase order has been agreed in writing. We reserve the right to withhold places or certificates where payment is outstanding. We accept payment by bank transfer, card, or agreed purchase order. Details will be provided on your invoice.

5. Cancellation and Transfers

Cancellations must be made in writing to info@ansteyjames.co.uk. — More than 14 days before the course date: full refund or free transfer to another date. — 7–14 days before the course date: 50% of the course fee is payable. — Less than 7 days before the course date: the full course fee is payable. — No-shows on the day: the full course fee is payable. Transfers to an alternative date are permitted at no charge when requested more than 14 days in advance, subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a course due to insufficient enrolments, instructor availability, or circumstances beyond our control (including adverse weather). In such cases, we will offer a full refund or transfer to an alternative date. We are not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs incurred as a result of a cancellation by us.

6. Certificates and Qualifications

Certificates and qualification records (including Driver CPC periodic training hours) will be issued upon successful completion of a course and receipt of full payment. Driver CPC hours are uploaded to the DVSA record system via JAUPT. It is the delegate's responsibility to ensure their driver licence number and personal details are correct at the time of booking. We accept no liability for errors arising from incorrect information provided by the delegate or their employer. Certificates remain the property of the delegate and are issued in accordance with the relevant awarding body or regulatory requirements.

7. Conduct and Health & Safety

All delegates are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully throughout any course or assessment. We reserve the right to remove any delegate from a course without refund if their behaviour is deemed disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. Delegates must inform us of any medical condition, disability or other circumstance that may affect their participation in practical elements of a course. We will make reasonable adjustments where possible. All delegates must comply with health and safety instructions given by our trainers and assessors.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any booking or use of our services shall not exceed the total fees paid for that booking. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business or damage to reputation arising from or in connection with our services. We are not responsible for any loss of, or damage to, personal belongings brought to our training venues.

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, handouts, assessments and content provided by us are our intellectual property or that of our licensed partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any course materials for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

10. Website Use

Our website is provided for information purposes. While we take care to keep content accurate and up to date, we make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy or availability of information on the site. You must not use our website to transmit any unlawful, harmful or offensive content, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

11. Privacy

Your use of our services and website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
