Since 2010, Anstey James has been delivering high-quality driver training and development services across the transport sector. Established following the introduction of mandatory periodic training requirements for professional HGV and PSV drivers, we have built a strong reputation for providing practical, compliant, and industry-focused training solutions.

Our expertise includes Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training, driver assessments, fleet compliance support, and tailored driver development programmes designed to enhance safety, professionalism, and operational efficiency.

As a trusted training provider, we deliver comprehensive driver training and assessment services on behalf of Somerset Council, supporting a wide range of transport operations and helping drivers maintain the highest standards of competence, compliance, and road safety.

We are proud to provide specialist Special Educational Needs (SEN) transport training, equipping drivers and passenger assistants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to support vulnerable children and young people safely and effectively. This training covers safeguarding, passenger care, communication, behaviour management, and disability awareness, ensuring every journey is undertaken with professionalism, dignity, and respect.

Anstey James is also an approved training provider for local authority-maintained schools operating minibuses. Our specialist programmes ensure drivers are fully qualified, confident, and equipped to meet their legal responsibilities while providing safe and reliable transport for pupils.

In addition, we work closely with academy schools and multi-academy trusts, delivering tailored training and assessment programmes that support compliance, minimise risk, and promote best practice throughout their transport operations.

Through our partnership with Lightning Training Solutions, we also offer a comprehensive range of First Aid training courses to meet the needs of organisations across the education, transport, and commercial sectors.
