Course Objectives
- 1Explain the purpose of ADR legislation
- 2• Recognise dangerous goods found in general haulage
- 3• Identify all nine ADR hazard classes
- 4• Interpret hazard labels, UN numbers and orange plates
- 5Understand driver, operator and consignor responsibilities
- 6• Conduct appropriate pre-journey checks
- 7• Recognise the documentation required during transport
- 8• Understand ADR exemptions
- 9Understand loading and segregation principles
- 10• Identify required emergency equipment
- 11• Respond safely to incidents involving dangerous goods
- 12• Reduce risks to drivers, emergency responders and the public
Qualification
There is no Qualification this as an Awareness course so that all drivers understand the requirements of ADR and to ensure the correct transportation of goods
